February 23 - Small TF2 Update
by Hey You on 23/02/10 at 9:22 pm
Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted.
The major changes include:
Engine
- Fixed servers being inappropriately delisted from the master server
Team Fortress 2
- Updated CTF_Doublecross
- Improved clipping to prevent players from getting to unintended places
- Updated CTF_2Fort
- Fixed Blue players being able to block the Blue spawn room doors to lock in teammates
- Moved the Blue team Sniper wall down to match the Red team Sniper wall
- Updated Russian localization strings
- Fixed the Pyro not being able to deflect enemy flares
- Fixed pipebombs not being removed if they explode in a func_nogrenades zone
Is there a possibility this plays into the TF2 100? Newspaper. Well, that really depends on what counts as a patch. We’re well over 100 if we just go by every patch mentioned on TF2 filtered Steam News page but a few of those patches are generic “Orange Box” or “Source Engine” updates, a few are combined updates for TF2 and Do S.
A quick tally of the updates: (don’t quote us, there are a lot of updates and these numbers may be off a bit, even with some double-checking.)
- 91 Team Fortress 2 updates
- 7 Team Fortress 2/Day of Defeat: Source updates (3 of which didn’t have anything specific for TF2)
- 2 Orange Box Updates (1 of which apparently didn’t affect TF2 at all, the other had nothing specifically for TF2)
- 1 Source Engine Update (That had nothing specific for TF2)
So, we could be considered to be at 100, or only at 95.
A quick thanks to Undead Scottsman for the speculation and the tally.
