TF2 Tactics: All Engineer Defense in Badwater

It’s very fun and very effective while on defense.
When they started, people were saying “spread out!”, “dont build all at once”, “build your dispensers first!”. And they’re absolutely right. Those 3 things are the most important things to remember when doing this strategy.
Spread out.
- Meaning build your sentries in strategic places covering each other and protecting your flanks.
Don’t build all at once.
- At the start of the map there won’t be enough metal to sustain the whole team. So you have to conserve and build just enough structures to be able to defend against the first wave of attackers. That means don’t build 10 level 1 sentry guns…
Build your dispenser first.
- This is an absolute rule of thumb even when not playing all engineer. If you build a dispenser first — you’re ensuring that everyone will have a steady stream of metal available. Metal will be your lifeblood!
As you can see on the video they had a lot of sentries destroyed. But the rate at which they were replacing the losses proved to be too fast for the attacking team.
