New TF2 Beach Ball?

In a patch to Team Fortress 2 yesterday, Aug 20, 2010, players recieved a new beach ball. The item was found in the game files which can also be seen by opening sdk hammer. There has been no mention of its use or what it will be used for in the game. Many players have speculated that it is part of the mentioned new TF2 game mode. The video below shows the beach ball in action.
